Art Postcard Techniques Class

This is a mini series of techniques classes. Each class session students will learn a different technique. You may take the full series or you may choose just one or two. Debra will supply all the embellishments, fabric, batting and backing to make one 5" x 7" postcard in each class. There is a nominal $6.00 per class materials kit fee. Bring the basic sewing supplies list. No prep work for you! Just come and play and learn! This is a great class for any level student. The following techniques will be covered:

  • Tutti-Frutti Tree session: Fusing and raw edge appliqué. (1)
  • Queen of Clubs session: Fabric painting and application of glitter and crystals. (2)
  • Asian Buckle session: Fabric folding, adding ribbon, grommets and embellishment. (3)
  • Fish & Fairies session: Focus fabric elements and silk flowers trapped under toulle. (4-5)
  • Landscapes session: Translate landscape into art card with turned appliqué edges. (6-7)
