Growing Old Together…
Somebody Deserves a Card with this…
Apparently, getting older has given me more than gray hair and the ability to make a sound every time I stand up. It has given me material.
LOTS of material.
So naturally, I’m turning it into greeting cards.
Meet Pearl and Stan, the stars of my new Growing Old Together card line, coming soon to Zebra Patterns. They’ve been together long enough to finish each other’s sentences—assuming either one heard the beginning.
Pearl has opinions. Stan has the remote. Neither can remember where they parked.
These two find themselves in situations that may feel suspiciously familiar: searching for glasses already on their faces, waiting for someone who said he’d be “right out,” and discussing whether sleeping through an entire movie counts as “resting your
I’ve had so much fun creating this collection. There’s something very satisfying about taking one of life’s little aggravations and giving it a punchline. Especially when the alternative is yelling through the bathroom door.
The cards will be blank inside, leaving room for a loving message, a birthday wish, or a carefully worded accusation.
They’re for the people you adore—even when they leave the toilet seat up, turn the television loud enough for the neighbors, or ask, “How did you sleep?” after snoring all night.
Pearl and Stan are coming soon. I’ll share the designs and availability as they’re ready. I send you more in upcoming blogs! Send me any ideas for them…and tell me if you like them.
Assuming I remember where I put them.
