Arches National Park, established in 1929 and located near Moab, Utah, contains the world’s greatest concentration of natural sandstone arches — more than 2,000 of them — sculpted over millions of years by the patient forces of water, ice, and wind. The park’s iconic Delicate Arch, rising 52 feet above a natural sandstone bowl with the La Sal Mountains glowing in the distance, has become one of the most recognized and beloved images in the American West. Fiery sunsets, towering fins, and balanced rocks make Arches an otherworldly landscape unlike anywhere else on earth.

U.S. national parks are frequently referred to as America’s Best Idea. Other common nicknames highlighting their value include National Treasures, Jewels in the Crown and collectively as the Natural Heritage or Crown Jewels of the nation.

All "parks" are not the same, with over 25 different designations beyond just "National Park". These include National Monuments, Historic Sites, National Recreation Areas, National Lakeshores/Seashores, and National Preserves, focusing on natural preservation, historical preservation, and recreational water access. The titles included in our U.S. National ParkStamps™ Collection cover all of these designations.
