In early January Gary lost his wedding ring! The ring had been getting looser and then one day ... just gone. Looked everywhere imaginable in the house, in the yard and in every parking space he'd been in that day and no luck.
And then, miraculously it was found this past Sunday!!
😂
Part 1: What does this have to do with being Clean & Organized in Life & Quilting? Gary's intolerance for clutter includes banning anything on the floor of closets, which also means it's easy to keep floors clean. Everywhere.Â

There it is! |

Had Gary's anti-clutter and vacuum cleaning closet floors phobia not kicked in on Sunday the ring would mostly not have been found until .... who knows? That's what Clean & Organized has to do with Life. So what does it have to do with Quilting?
Part 2: So here's what it has to do with Quilting. What often comes to mind when approaching a project is Debra's Raw Edge Applique the Zebra Way!, This is a quick read flip book style guide for new and experienced Quilters alike, filled with what Debra has found to be best practices for organizing and successfully completing machine applique projects.
There are 15 slides, but it's always been #9 that's stuck in my memory for 20+ years since Debra wrote the flip book; and as I've watched her produce many hundreds of samples following these steps.

It's not too hard for new or experienced Quilters to lose track of fused/cut applique pieces, project instructions, pattern pages or even your best best scissors!

After a quick read through Raw Edge Applique the Zebra Way! free download we believe you will also see that's what Clean & Organized has to do with Quilting.
Co-written by the two of us!
Debra already has the St. Patrick's Day Tuesday's Blog ready to go!
Best regards. Debra and Gary.
P.S. for fun, and true. When I told Debra that the ring had been found her immediate response was "So we're married again?", to which a recent acquaintance aware of lost-and-now-found ring said "Tell her she didn't get off that easy!"
