There’s something energizing about learning something new. It wakes up your creativity, stretches your thinking, and reminds you that growth doesn’t stop just because you’ve been doing something for years.
Lately I’ve been diving into new tools and ideas that help me create, design, and share my work in ways I never imagined before. As an artist and designer, curiosity has always been one of my greatest tools. The moment you think you know everything is the moment you stop growing.
And here’s something exciting I just learned!

This new stamp will be available in mid-to-late April.
A new national monument is being dedicated this October in Washington, DC — the National Desert Storm and Desert Shield Memorial. The memorial will be located near Constitution Gardens along Constitution Avenue NW, within the National Mall area, not far from the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
The memorial honors the service and sacrifice of nearly 700,000 American service members who participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm during the Gulf War (1990–1991). These operations were launched after Iraq invaded Kuwait, and an international coalition worked to restore Kuwait’s sovereignty. The memorial recognizes the bravery, dedication, and commitment of the men and women who served during that conflict, many of whom returned home quietly without the recognition given to other wars.
I love when something new happens that lets us add another story to our creative work.
This memorial will fit perfectly with the Washington, DC sites we recently created, and it’s a wonderful addition to our travel-themed series Where Ya Been? One of the things I enjoy most about this series is how it keeps growing as history continues to unfold. New places, new stories, and new landmarks give us fresh inspiration for designs and projects.
Learning something new always sparks ideas. And when history and creativity meet, that’s where the fun really begins.
Stay curious… there’s always something new waiting to be discovered.

Also... Happy St. Paddy's Day!
